《QIRAT STUDIES》

Oirat Studies is a quarterly academic journal, which is edited by the Research Unit for Oirat Mongolian Culture, and sponsored by the Federation of Social Sciences of Xingjian Uygur Autonomous Region. The journal is devoted to publish research papers in both Mongolian and Chinese languages on then society, economy, law and institutions, history and geography, religious culture, literature and arts, languages and writing system of the Oirat Mongolian people and multi-nationality relations.
Oirat studies, has been a worldly known multidisciplinary subject for studies over the national boundaries for the substantial influences of the Oirat Mongols in the history of the ancient Western Regions as well as Central Asia and therefore it is natural that the studies involves many peoples in the region and the relations with the neighboring countries. And Oirat Studies has its special features as an academic journal and attracts scholars of different ethnic backgrounds all over then world and the papers that is carries naturally reflect then academic endeavors of the authors in various fields. And we aim at improving the academic quality of Oirat studies and at its publicity in the world academic circle. For this we welcome the papers written by scholars at home and abroad and the translations of rare historical materials, reviews and reports on the new development of Oirat studies.
